This policy explains how we handle your information when you use the Halal Stock Screen (MVP) website and API. We aim to collect the minimum necessary to provide the service.

Who we are

What we process

• Queries you send (e.g., ticker symbols; any custom fundamentals posted via the API).
• Technical logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps, error messages) for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.
• Diagnostics for data providers (e.g., success/failure of Yahoo or FMP fetches), without storing your personal content.

Why we process it (lawful basis)

• Provide the service (contract / legitimate interest).
• Security and rate limiting (legitimate interest).
• Analytics (optional) to understand usage using cookieless, privacy-friendly tools. We do not use marketing cookies.

Retention

We keep minimal server logs for up to 30 days to investigate incidents and improve reliability, then delete or aggregate them.

Sharing

We may call third-party data providers (e.g., Yahoo Finance, Financial Modeling Prep) to retrieve public market data related to the ticker you enter. We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Depending on hosting and providers, data may be processed outside the EEA. Where applicable, we use appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
